www.rethinkingwater.com/foundationARN.htm
In 2008, The ARN Foundation of Haiti proposed the ‘water is life’ program in support of GE’s HeathyImagination initiative; to provide potable water for 500,000 people in Haiti, annually. The project proposes to include 100 Innovative Water Technologies solar Sunspring water purifications units that will be located at primarily locations throughout Haiti. Since the Sunspring is a ‘stand alone’ potable water unit, not only will it supply 5,000 gallons of potable water daily for the needy to drink but will also provide sanitary conditions for medical staff in relief areas. These medical facilities are the first stage providers during emergency situations, and allow for secure methods for disbursing clean water.
